Travel to ITHACA NEW YORK: Farm & BEER to TABLE, Foodie Bowling Bar, and the friendly Farmers Market

This video shows a full day of travel in and around Ithaca, New York. I am traveling with my mother, Carla Marie Rupp, where we visited a farm, microbrewery, several Ithaca waterfalls, and even the beautiful local farmers market by the water.

First, we visited TC3 Farm and farmer Todd, which supplies a lot of the local restaurants with fresh fruits and vegetables from their greenhouse.

Next, we went to Hopshire Farm and Brewery for lunch and sampler flight of their beer. The beer was absolutely incredible — all unfiltered and unpasteurized.

The Ithaca Farmers market had a lot to offer, such as homemade ice cream, fresh fruits, vegetables, arts & crafts, and even cider.

At the end if the day, we headed to Atlas Bowl, which is a bowling bar & restaurant with incredibly delicious food. It is a lot of fun to eat quality food and bowl at the same time. We loved it.

Ithaca has waterfalls inside and outside of the town. We visited Ithaca Falls, located in the town, and then we also visited the very large Taughannock falls. These are just a few of the majestic waterfalls around Ithaca. After the official tour ended, and we checked out of the Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons, we stayed a few more days.

Our friend Carol, who studied at Ithaca College, took us to enjoy and hike to even more waterfalls in the area, including spectacular Lucifer Falls. She also took us on an enjoyable walk around the historic campus of lovely Cornell University.

The beauty and nature around Ithaca really impressed us. The people really know about and appreciate their gorgeous sights, but they definitely also know good, healthy food, which makes Ithaca a really great travel getaway.

I was on a tour lead by the Visit Ithaca tourism board on this video tour day. I absolutely would recommend the sights we went to. There are so many things to do in this beautiful city.

  1. wow, this is just like some areas in wisconsin. fyi 5.00 for a drink is normal price. big cities like NY overcharge for drinks. also local farms are the best. great video

  2. Ithaca looks lovely. The waterfall was pretty. Your bowling was tragic but still better than mine despite your attempted murder of the people in the next lane. How far is Ithaca from the city?

    1. This town has waterfalls all over the place. It is quite amazing. It is pretty far from NYC, maybe 5 hours I think.

  3. Up-State NY like Small-town Midwest USA is often overlooked, but at 22:00 a guy from NY and Kansas who can’t bowl? πŸ˜•

  4. Pretty interesting experience, I like that market, perfect for a getaway outside the city, the waterfalls looked beautiful.

    1. Hi Manny! Thanks for watching. Ithaca is full of huge waterfalls. The farmers market was good, with a lot of fresh things.
