Reading/Travel Vlog – Asian Readathon and New York City!

I finished 4 of the 5 challenges for the Asian Readathon and explored Manhattan in the first two weeks of the month. I’ve never made a travel vlog so I’m still figuring out how I want to edit them; if you have any tips or suggestions please let me know!

  1. Same! I wouldn’t have picked up the group book but so glad I did!
    You’re visiting Japan!!! SO cool <3 I was there about 2 years ago and it was beautiful.
    I've read a lot of Japanese work that is VERY introspective and thoughtful but made me mad. Tabahara Girls was a similar experience. (manga)
    loved getting to see some of NY!
    I'm pretty character driven as well, so that makes sense (Black Tides of Heaven)

    1. Where did you go in Japan? I went in 2013 but only to Osaka and Kyoto.
      I heard a lot of people love Tabahara Girls but it made you mad? Why? I haven’t read any Japanese literature before so the style is new to me.
      I also haven’t read many novellas before so I wonder if I’m expecting too much of Black Tides of Heaven? It may just be too short of a book to get into character development much and maybe I just have unrealistic expectations 🤔
