New York City is so big, how can you possibly see it all in one day! Honestly, you can’t…but we tried our absolute best when we spent a weekend in New York with kids. Follow our fun journey aboard the Staten Island Ferry to cruise right by the Statue of Liberty, and watch us tour the city on the famed Big Bus. We took a quick visit to St Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center, and spent a rainy few minutes at Central Park. Finally, perhaps the highlight of the day, we enjoyed a lively meal with live music at Fraunces Tavern on the Southern Tip of Manhattan. This place has 6 bars and was established way back in 1764. George Washington is even rumored to have frequented the Tavern and hosted banquets. It was the perfect place to finish our fun day in New York City with kids!
What is Hot Mama Travel!? HotMamaTravel is a family travel blog that we launched in 2012. We are unique as a multi-generational traveling family that sees value in taking our young children to literally any place they are allowed, including historic torture chambers in Scotland and bars and pubs all across America. We call it family travel with a twist.
